A song on cognitive dissonance and self justification to help my students study for the upcoming AP exam. The song’s lyric ideas were collaboratively created in aa wiki which I arranged and formatted into this song. I had help with the artwork as well with Allison Winslow contributing ‘the dumped guy’ and Victoria Banos contributing the fox and grapes. the fugazi institute of canonical cognitive dissemination [hereafter referred to as 'the fugazi institute'] have recently completed exhaustive research and development into the once fabled ‘dissonance aggregator’.
the project, shrouded in absolute secrecy, is rumoured to be nearing completion.
initially the brainchild of ‘fugazi europe’ with enormous funding from ‘fugazi america’ the project has been strongly criticised by the liberal media across the globe.
the graphic represents a cryothermal scan of a single aggregator node. billions of such nodes are said to exist in every dissonance aggregator.
the dissonance aggregator is a complex synaptic formant operator, and as such can successfully re-engineer the brain at a cellular level.
utilising a complex ‘mendacity matrix’ perfected by ‘fugazi china’ the aggregator is able to create technopsychic ‘dissonance reservoirs’ which are stored within each machine.
the aggregators can then be used to significantly resculpt the synaptic patterns of any who wish to avail themselves of this complex and hugely costly process.
once ‘aggregated’, the individual treated is infinitely more capable of holding two or more fundamentally opposing viewpoints or ‘truths’ without suffering any dialectical, moral or psychological confusion whatsoever.
not only can the treated individual hold many seemingly conflicting views or opinions without suffering ‘cognitive dissonance’, the treated individual can also easily defend any given view without any internal or external signs of psychological confusion. the treated individual can then move on to defend an entirely counterfactual view with the same fervid intellectual passion and psychological equanimity.
the fugazi institute of canonical cognitive dissemination have yet to make a final statement with regard to availability of treatment, but the institute have strongly hinted that they expect to make a sizeable percentage of global profits from the political sector.
