James Burke – Balanced Anarchy
This short clip comprises the main point of James Burke’s excellent series- the day the universe changed. Against a backdrop of a buddhist monastary, high in the himalayas, James Burke envisions a utopic future. Stopping just short of presaging the singularity, communities like digg and /. are quite obviously foretold. I’m quite surprised that this hasn’t been heavily sampled for electronic music.

why do people use the expression “the alternative is anarchy” like it’s an argument?
Question by Phrimburger: why do people use the expression “the alternative is anarchy” like it’s an argument?
like some scientists definitively proved that anarchy is bad and leads to chaos or something worse? do most people that oppose anarchy understand that there are different “flavors” of anarchy and each has been well thought out by very smart people? most anarchists (the ones that aren’t idiots anyway) don’t believe in just doing whatever you want regardless of the consequences.

Could Kropotkinist “peaceful anarchy” will never work?
WhiteWolf359 Question : Could Kropotkinist “peaceful anarchy” Never work
Peter Kropotkin, who was a Russian prince, married to anarchy, in the sense of violence and chaos, but this effect is not purely central government. He saw the company decided to presidents, dictators and governing bodies, but by social groups that provide the same functionality without the need for a global structure. Will there still be laws, police, judges, etc. just not the central government. Instead, “the people” would be liable. It will not work or are just too greedy, selfish and indifferent to cooperate with such a high level Best answer:

I think it could work, the government is unnecessary burden on the evil and the entire human race. I believe that people are basically good and can be taught responsible behavior instead of greed and irresponsibility. The main objective of the government is an extension of themselves and one dependent, the population is bad for it, that all governments are serious. Freedom, responsibility and central government can not exist.

I used the Happy Hooker “Anarchy Hat” pattern for this hat. I needed a very tight knit cap in the middle of winter, and this is the case. I used about 3 balls to go after it.
